Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the meeting: “6th International Plant Dormancy Symposium” that will be held in Kyoto, Japan, on 23-26th October, 2018.
This symposium is an excellent opportunity to bring together scientists working on various aspects of seed, bud and other meristematic dormancy, and will focus on recent advances on the regulatory mechanisms, its role in plant growth and development, weed management and crop production, as well as impact of seasonal environmental change and climate change on dormancy. The overall goal of this symposium is to provide a forum for the exchange of information and ideas on dormancy in plants and the development of new scientific collaborations. It will encompass the latest findings in dormancy from a variety of plant systems ranging from model plants to wild, agronomic and tree crops.
Important Dates:
Early bird registration and oral abstract submission deadline: 31 July
Late registration deadline: 15 August
Covered Topics include:
Genetic and Epigenetic regulation
Ecology (including climate change)
Evolution
Hormonal regulation
Environmental control and Signaling (inter- and intra-cellular)
Applied aspects of dormancy
